FAQ 6670How to connect a network drive from a Macintosh

This has been tested on OS X 10.5 (Leopard) and 10.6 (Snow Leopard)
From the Go menu of the Finder select "Connect to server" or enter Command-K.

Enter the following for the server address:

smb://wcs-cifs.waisman.wisc.edu/wc/FOLDER-NAME

where FOLDER-NAME is the name of a project drive. Examples:

smb://wcs-cifs.waisman.wisc.edu/wc/emotion

smb://wcs-cifs.waisman.wisc.edu/wc/bhl

To connect to your personal drive (M: on windows) specify the wcu share. It will figure out your username:

smb://wcs-cifs.waisman.wisc.edu/wcu
username
Enter your username
Enter waisman\ followed by your waisman username. Example:

waisman\smith

Click OK. The network drive should be mounted as a volume and appear on the right side of your desktop.
