What are Practice Groups?

During the Connections Grant there were seven Practice Groups. Practice Groups were subject-specific subsets of the larger Community of Practice on Autism Spectrum Disorders and other Developmental Disabilities (CoP ASD/DD), whereby each participant brought his/her work to the table and everyone looked for ways to get their work done through this group. For example, if you were developing a new referral form, this group would review it and give feedback. This is where the concept of "shared work" comes into play. Each Practice Group had co-facilitators who would facilitate the discussion, take notes and arrange follow-up calls.

If you would like more information about what each Practice Group discussed please click on the Practice Group name. Combined notes of the Practice Group from each Community of Practice are also available.
