Mural The Genetics of Emotional Ontogeny (GEO) study at the UW Psychology Department is a project investigating the personality, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of twins. The study began as a series of assessments that spanned from shortly after birth to three years of age. Currently the project is in the data analysis phase. No families are being recruited at this time.

Initial assessments took place both in the home and in the Center. For example, when the twins began to crawl, a research specialist would come to the home to videotape the twins crawling, being approached by a stranger, interacting with a parent, and playing hide and seek with a toy.
