Giving To Alexander Disease Research

There are three funds at the University of Wisconsin Foundation that support Alexander disease research. All three funds have the same goal: to further our scientific understanding of Alexander disease and explore potential strategies for treatments. The three funds are The Palamaro Fund, The Juanma Fund, and The Jelte Rijkaart Fund.

The most reliable way to donate to Alexander disease research is via check. Checks can be made payable to the University of Wisconsin Foundation. In the memo line please write "Waisman Center - Alexander Disease Research". This designation is essential and ensures that the donation reaches the correct fund.

You can send checks directly to me, or to the Director of the Waisman Center, at the following address (Waisman Center, 1500 Highland Ave., Madison, WI 53705). The Waisman Center deposits the check at the UW Foundation. Gifts are tracked as they are received. The Waisman Center also sends the appropriate acknowledgments and a letter of thanks.

Alternatively, if you prefer to donate via a credit card, donations to any of the three Alexander disease research funds can be made clicking on one of the following links:

These links take you to the secure UW Foundation site with the correct fund numbers in place. Please enter credit card information and the gift amount. If you choose to donate by credit card, it would be helpful if you also send us a note with the date and amount of the donation so that we can track the gift and ensure it is deposited into the correct fund at the UW Foundation.
